ABOUT ME
Hello, hello! My name is Mayzey, I'm a Cardiff and Bristol Based designer and ideas-person specialising in Costume and Set Design. I have designed for a variety of productions for stage and screen and worked with fabulous Directors - Hannah Noone, Simon Reade and Amelia Lloyd to name a few! I'm currently looking for a new opportunity to embrace my passion, commitment and skillset within the production team.
My work is inspired by streets of ordinary people, just like you and me.Who says we can’t be extraordinary?
I create representative work of the world and enable platforms like theatres to share stories using an inclusive, celebrative and engaging approach.
I visualise this through my production design work, with a focus on moodboard-ing, storyboarding, digital and close discussions with directors to create similar but different worlds to our own.
As a student at RWCMD, I have worked with notable directors such as Nadia Noir, Simon Reade and Hannah Noone and realised a design for a musical at The Sherman Theatre.
In my spare time, I have also worked as a Production Designer with the BFI Film Academy for a short film and have also worked as a Costume Designer for the Its My Shout BBC scheme.
